just heard the new (i guess) M:I:5 cd on profan, and i must say, it's
really cool--crunchy, repetitive, minimal, way out there. a lot more
interesting than the accompanying release, the Andre Brinkman cd on profan
(that's mike ink/studio 1, right?). so my question: are these profan
releases (the M:I:5 is called "Mabstab," i believe, or "Masstab"--uses that
weird german B thing) available on vinyl, or only cd?
and then a warning: listened to the new Friend lp, "Hot Rod," and half
the tracks seem to come off of other friend releases, either verbatim or in
minimally-reworked form. so if you're ordering blind, you may want to
wait. the merits of the rest of the tracks weren't great enough for me to
justify the expense.
